MIRATI Cosmetics are made with natural or naturally derived ingredients.

One of the main active ingredient in all creams and lotions is organic ghee.

All essential oils used by MIRATI are organic.

99,3% of our ingredients are of natural origin, while up to 24% come from organic farming.
Ecocert has very strict regulations when it comes to ingredients, thus a product has to contain at least 95% of natural ingredients to be certified. Our products contain even more, that is 99,3%, which means only 0,7% are of non-natural origin. These are Potassium Sorbate and Benzyl Alcohol Dehydroacetic Acid, preservatives which are added to ensure complete microbiological stability for the entire shelf life of the product. We are very proud of being almost 100% natural, because the consumers often have a bad impression of natural cosmetics, since nowadays companies with only 5% natural ingredients call themselves 'natural'.

Stuff we don't use

MIRATI Cosmetics are free from Parabens, Phthalates, SLS, Synthetic Fragrances

Parabens are synthetic preservatives commonly used to prevent bacteria and fungi from growing in a cosmetic product. Studies show that parabens may be associated with breast cancer, reproductive issues, ageing and damaging of the skin. Ghee base, used in all MIRATI creams, is bacteriostatic, meaning it does not allow growth or reproduction of bacteria, therefore there is no need to add parabens or other synthetic preservatives to our products. MIRATI is committed to make products paraben-free for your safe and confident use.

Phthalates are chemicals used for a wide variety of purposes. In cosmetics, they are added to enhance color and smell. Exposure to phthalates have been linked to cancer, reproductive and birth issues. You will find only natural fragrances and colorants in MIRATI Cosmetics. Our products are always phthalate-free.

SLS (Sodium laureth sulfate)  is a chemical used, among other things, for making personal care products to lather better – giving them better foaming and bubbling properties. It is a synthetic detergent so it may dry and damage the skin. Also, depending on how it is produced, it may have traces of ethylene oxide and 1.4-dioxane – both of which are considered likely carcinogens. Be assured that MIRATI Washes bubble just as well, even without SLS.

Synthetic fragrances are compounds derived from petrochemicals that emulate essential oils scents. Unlike essential oils, which come from plant extracts, synthetic fragrances do not have aromatherapeutic properties. Yes, they may smell like heaven, but synthetic fragrances can contain hundreds of chemicals many of which have been considered hazardous and dangerous to human health. Mirati never uses synthetic fragrance – we want you to enjoy the natural scents of our carefully selected essential oil blends.

Mineral oil is a colourless, odorless liquid, which is a by product of petroleum destilation. It is widely used in cosmetics, because it's a cheap ingredient and has an occlusive effect on the skin, so to say, it prevents water from vaporazing from the skin. In cosmetics they use a processed, purified mineral oil, but some scientists stil doubt if this ingredient is 100% safe, as it may contain some contaminated element, which can avoid the purification. Besides, it doesn't have any nourishing or healing effect on the skin, because it only lays on the surface and prevents water vaporization.

Silicones are cosmetic ingredients, which have an occlusive effect on the skin, make the product waterproof and are widely used in creams and primers. They also help the product spread better over the skin. Usually the silicones used in cosmetics, such as dimethicone and ciclomethicone are not problematic, but certain silicones can be carcinogens and work as hormonal disruptors, some of them are even bad for the environment.

Formaldehyde is a gas, which is naturally present in apples and pears and is used in cosmetics as a preservative, but the American FDA has already confirmed it is carcinogenic.

Triclosan is a preservatice, which the FDA has also banned since it has harm our immune system and works as a hormonal disruptor.
